Making Veganism Resonate Across Movements: Centering BIPOC Communities in the Fight for Collective Liberation
The talk takes a critical look at mainstream vegan outreach, education, and culture, exposing how these approaches often alienate liberation-minded communities and hinder veganism's integration into broader social justice movements. Drawing from her work at APEX Advocacy, Yvette will explore the challenges of bringing more Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) into the animal rights movement and why trying to reform the  institutionalized vegan landscape is not enough.
